In bed at 10, up at 6:45 after a very disjointed night's rest, many pss, up twice thinking of moving to the recliner then rolled back onto the bed.   46℉, high of 63℉, cloudy morning, sunny afternoon, warm SSW continues at 9 mph, gusts to 20 mph during the day, no rain expected until Saturday.  Sunrose at 6:16, sunset at 7:28, 12+10.

Old Bones, Old Brains.  Sen. Richard Blumenthal, 77, suffered a broken femur, or thigh bone, when someone at a parade celebrating UConn's NCAA basketball championship, fell on him.  He'll undergo surgery which he describes as 'routine,' no big deal.  Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell, Senate minority leader, hasn't been seen in public since his fall in a restaurant on March 8.  He suffered a concussion.  Not for wimps, they say.

Northern Ireland, Israel, and America.  What all three have in common: longstanding segregation of opposing camps, distrust, hatreds,  and the growing significance of demographics.  America's first civil war was the war between the states, the next was Jim Crow and the KKK, the next, a right-wing reaction against the liberalism of FDR, LBJ, WJC, and BHO, will be like The Troubles in Northern Ireland (bombings like Oklahoma Cit, mass shootings and assassinations) but without the benefits of 'peace walls' separating factions.
