In bed at 9:07. awale and up at 4:30 following dreams of DPL but mostly of TSJ.  I lit a candle and a log in the fireplace.  16° at 5 a.m. on its way down to 13° around 8 a.m. and then up to a maybe-high of 18° this afternoon.  The current wind chill is +1°.  We are so fortunate that our snowplow guy, Rustin, not only has plowed both driveways but also shoveled our walks.  I very much doubt that other plowing services provide sidewalk shoveling.  I wonder if Russtin provides this service to his other customers or only to us, knowing we're oldtimers.  As of 9:30 last night Milwaukee had received about 6 inches of snow so I suspect we received at least that much, perhaps up to 7 inches considering the lake effect snow we received.  Another storm will make its way into the Milwaukee area on Friday, dumping another 5 to 8 inches of snow.  Most of the snow is expected to arrive on Friday afternoon.  I'm hoping that won't interfere with Sarah's flight from Austin, TX.😨  The photo gives some sense of the accumulation and shows my walker that I use to assist me in mounting and descending the stoop, a substitute for missing railings.  It reminds me of how many standard architectural features are major problems for some old and decrepit coots. . .  Seeing the top of the patio table after daybreak suggests that we may have gotten 7"

Prednisone, day 298, 5 mg., day 9, Kevzaa, day 9/14.  Prednisone at 4:45 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Other meds at around 11 a.m.-.

3-ring project.   I picked up my 2 and 1/2 years' of printed daily journals from Minuteman Press at 64th and North Avenue with the newly drilled 3 holes.  They are now safely loaded into 3-hole binders.  Also, Amazon delivered my 3-hole printer paper this morning.

Work in progress, fingers crossed.
