2009 Lilly was born

In bed at 10:30, up at 4:20   I let Lilly out at 5:20.

Prednisone, day 147, 7.5 mg., day 26/28.  Prednisone at 5:00.  All Bran w/ berries and morning meds at 6:15.

I made a beef stock yesterday with beef shanks, carrots, celery, onions, and peppercorns.  I'm undecided whether to make vegetable soup or cabbage borscht with the stock. . . I went on a run to Michael's in Grafton to pick up some titanium white, manganese blue, and a light green paint, and to Costco for gasoline, lettuce, campari tomatoes, berries, Dave's Bread, and Rao's eggplant parmisan.  I the way home I stopped at Sendik's and picked up a cabbage to make a batch of borscht.  I also want to make some banana bread but my lower back has been a real handicap today, keeping me from doing much other than my trips to various stores. . .

Lilly 'flew the coop' this afternoon, walking down the street.  Geri took off after her, with her bad knee.  Lilly with her deafness didn't respond to Geri's commands.  Geri tried to call me with her AppleWatch because she didn't have her phone with her, but was unsuccessful.  When she finally caught up with Lilly, she used her sweater as a leash and got her home, saying to me that it's time to put her down. . . I took another trip to Sendik's to get her some Pinot Grigio.

I'm not disposed to write anything today. including the thoughts that led me to note the above anniversaries.
