In bed by 10, awake at 6:30, out of bed at 6:40, 4 pss, 1 glass of red. 41 degrees out, a high of 65 expected, then a big cooldown for a couple of days, and frost warnings. Trees have started to turn colors but no sign of falling leaves yet, soon there will be trillions.

Looking a bit more like a 'world' war with all of NATO meaning most of Europe and the United States supporting Ukraine against Russia and now with OPEC meaning Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Venezuela, Libya, Algeria, Nigeria, and Congo about to reduce oil production by 2,000,000 barrels a day to keep oil prices high, i.e., to help Russia. Both China and India ambivalent.
CABARET:
[EMCEE]
Money makes the world go around
The world go around
The world go around
Money makes the world go around
It makes the world go 'round
A mark, a yen, a buck or a pound
A buck or a pound
A buck or a pound
Is all that makes the world go around
That clinking, clanking sound
Can make the world go 'round
When you haven't any coal in the stove
And you freeze in the winter
And you curse to the wind at your fate
When you haven't any shoes on your feet
Your coat's thin as paper
And you look 30 pounds underweight
When you go to get a word of advice
From the fat little pastor
He will tell you to love evermore
[EMCEE]
But when hunger comes to rap
Rat-a-tat rat-a-tat at the window
[CABARET GIRLS]
At the window
[EMCEE, spoken]
Who's there?
[CABARET GIRLS, spoken]
Hunger!
[EMCEE] Ooh hunger! See how love flies out the door for...Money makes the world
[CABARET GIRLS] Go around
[EMCEE] The world
[CABARET GIRLS] Go around
[EMCEE] The world
[CABARET GIRLS] Go around
[EMCEE] Money makes the
[CABARET GIRLS] Go around

The clinking, clanking sound of
Money, money, money, money
Money, money, money, money
Get a little, get a little
Money, money, money, money
Mark, a yen, a buck or a pound
That clinking, clanking, clunking sound
Is all that makes the world go 'round
Money! It makes the world go 'round!

Teleconferenced with my personal diabetes pharmaceutical specialist Jill Hansen, PhD, yesterday. Glucose numbers have been way down for a couple of weeks, averaging around 140, A1c zone of 6.5. Defective glucose meter or better results because of 4.5 ml Trulicity combined with Jardiance? Scheduled another blood draw for glucose and kidney function on November 15.

Browsing Criterion Channel came across a collection of short films on dance including a BEAUTIFUL documentary by Krzystof Kieslowski called Seven Women of Different Ages. It reminds me of the tremendous discipline required of dancers, the great physical labor, perhaps (I can only guess) especially ballet dancers and of the great similarity between the dance instructors and military drill sergeants, very demanding, unforgiving. Why do they do it, the dancers, the soldiers? It also makes me want to look again for Kieslowski's DECAMERON and THREE COLORS; BLUE, WHITE, RED. The film also reminds me of course of Katherine, Petit Morte, and the time I spent with the Milwaukee Ballet, Jean-Paul Comeliness, Roberta Bourse, Jutta Parsons, Are Cherchian, et al. And now our beautiful Ellis will be a member of the company, an angel in The Nutcracker.

Did some more work on "Last Wishes" checklist. Quite a project. Best done in advance rather than left to the survivor.
